Meeting Developing Business Needs

Emerging research suggests that many businesses are feeling more confident about prospects for growth – recent research by one specialist recruiter in the ‘Special UK Report: Demand for Skilled Talent’ suggests a significant uptick in UK business confidence levels. (https://www.roberthalf.co.uk/research-insights/reports-guides/employment-trends-demand-for-skilled-talent)

Interestingly however this confidence is tempered by an ongoing struggle to identify people with the skills needed to meet developing business requirements and opportunities created by the new environment we have entered.

It would seem in the manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors (also among the top industries for current hirers) in particular, that the right kind of skills are in high demand – including hybrid skills – increasingly an integral part of the Covid-19 landscape. Cidori recognises the critical importance of upskilling to develop talent – particularly with a focus on the opportunities presented by the Apprenticeship Levy. As an indicator of this, we recently embarked on the Investors in People program – because we believe our people should be empowered and developed and because we are committed to ensuring that they in turn provide the very highest levels of professionalism and customer service to our clients.

For these reasons we were delighted to be recognised with a Silver Award – and of the many positives that came out of this exacting process, we are most proud of the fact that the Investors in People feedback report noted:

  • We have a clear vision and business plan which people understand
  • Our people feel empowered to make decisions and like opportunities to develop themselves
  • Our leaders trust and support people to make decisions
  • Our people like being involved in change and feel we embrace it

For us, so much of this (there’s more, but modesty forbids) translates directly and clearly into what we do – design and build bespoke apprenticeship programmes that align with the plans, values, and objectives of our clients, and which develop your people to make improvements and decisions that help your business thrive and prosper.

So, we will continue to work hard to ensure that the values which drive us translate into the right results for our clients who are seeking new and innovative ways to harness tangible, measurable outcomes from using the apprenticeship levy.

Why not invest some time with one of our levy experts and allow us to leave you with some ideas to consider?
